If SwiftKit is crashing on startup, you should do this and post the results on the forums.

The startup debug mode helps the SwiftKit staff determine where the program is crashing and provide advice on correcting the problem.

Note: This is not supposed to solve your problem, but isolate it so we can solve it.

To enable debug mode go to your SwiftKit installation folder. By default this is C:\Program Files\SwiftKit

  1. Open the Data folder and double click on GlobalSettings.ini.
  2. Under [Startup Options] add; DebugMode=True

So the end result should look something like this;

[Startup Options]
Host=Australia
DebugMode=True

(The host may be different depending on your selected update server)

Now that the debug mode is enabled, when you start SwiftKit it will spit out debug information to Debug.txt in your SwiftKit directory. (default C:\Program Files\SwiftKit)

Open Debug.txt copy the entire contents and paste them on the forums for the staff to help you.

If GlobalSettings.ini is not there:

In your Data folder, create a new text file. Rename it to GlobalSettings.ini, open it up and paste the text below into it and save. Then retry SwiftKit.

[Startup Options]
DebugMode=True
